Why “Kingbird”

Named after the bird that backs down from nothing.

Most contractors name themselves after the founder or the county. We named ourselves after a bird with a reputation — because the reputation is the business plan.

The bird

Tyrannus tyrannus — “tyrant of tyrants.”

It defends the nest against anything

A kingbird weighs about an ounce and a half. It routinely dive-bombs crows, blue jays, and red-tailed hawks — birds many times its size — until they leave its territory. Nearly all of that famous ferocity is one thing: protecting its home. That’s the job description we signed up for.

It wears a business suit

The Cornell Lab of Ornithology describes the Eastern Kingbird as looking “like it’s wearing a business suit” — slate back, crisp white front, a neat white band at the tail tip. And, Cornell adds, it means business. Clean crews, straight quotes, no theatrics: the suit is the standard.

It hides a crown

Under the dark feathers on its head, every kingbird carries a concealed crown of bright color — revealed only when it’s time to defend the nest. Your roof is the crown of your home. We take both crowns personally.

The Kingbird Standard

Six promises. In writing.

These aren’t values on a breakroom poster. They’re terms of the deal on every Kingbird project — and if we miss one, you should hold us to it.

Straight pricing

One fair number, first visit. Your price never depends on your age, your neighborhood, or how long you let us sit at your kitchen table.

Our own crews

Kingbird work is done by Kingbird crews — background-checked, trained to manufacturer spec, and proud to sign their name to your roof.

Advisors, not salesmen

A 21-point inspection and an honest verdict. If a $600 repair solves it, we will not sell you a $16,000 roof.

A clean site, every night

Magnetic nail sweeps, protected landscaping, and a driveway you can trust barefoot before we pull away.

One point of contact

A project lead who answers the phone — before the build, during it, and after the last truck leaves.

The Crown Warranty

Workmanship coverage for as long as you own your home — transferable once to the next owner. If our work ever fails you, we make it right.

How we work

Small enough to care. Fierce enough to matter.

Kingbird is a new name built by people who’ve spent years on roofs, in attics, and at kitchen tables. We started it because the industry kept forcing a choice between big-company polish and small-company honesty. You should get both.
